A reputable recruitment service provider with head office in Zagreb is looking for a highly energetic, hard-working and reliable Recruiter fluent in English and Croatian to join its dynamic team.
As a Recruiter reporting to a Director of Talent Acquisition, you will play a crucial role in the core business of the company. Please read the responsibilities carefully.
This is a freelance / part time position. Work timing preferences will be discussed with candidates to find a common ground. After successful completion of probation period the possibility of becoming a permanent employee will be discussed. The work location can be chosen to be from home for admin part of the job or from the company office located in the center of Zagreb close to Britanski trg, according to your agreement with the company.
Responsibilities:
- Recruitment Cycle: Manage the recruitment process, including job posting, sourcing, interviewing, and hiring for various roles for different industries.
- Documents processing: Process all immigration, work permit, visa documents for international hires. This will require you to visit government offices regularly.
- Meet & Greet: When necessary and required – meet & greet new international employees at the airport. Take international employees to government offices for documents processing. If required personally hand over new international employees to the hiring company.
- Strategic Talent Sourcing: Work with the Sourcing team to develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract top-tier candidates through various channels, including social media, job boards, professional networks, and referrals.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements, align on recruitment strategies, and ensure timely and effective hiring processes. Establish effective communication with recruitment agency partners around the world to close the job openings as fast as possible.
- Candidate Experience: Ensure a positive candidate experience by providing timely communication, feedback, and support throughout the recruitment process each candidate. Provide individual approach to each candidate.
- Talent Pipelining: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings in Europe and Middle East region.
- Employer Branding: Act as an ambassador for the company, promoting company brand and values to potential candidates and corporate clients positioning company as a recruitment partner of choice.
- Market Insight: Stay updated on industry trends, labor market conditions, and competitive landscape to advise hiring managers and improve recruitment strategies.
- Data Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), and provide regular reports on recruitment metrics, trends, and activities.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve recruitment processes to enhance efficiency, candidate quality, and hiring outcomes.
Qualifications, skills and requirements:
- Essential communication: fluent speaker of English and Croatian. Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in international talent acquisition / recruitment, with proven experience in mass labor recruitment as well as targeted headhunting.
- Government relations: Experience in processing work permits for international workers, blue cards, visa application guidance, experience in company to company transfers of the workers. Expert knowledge of all government systems related to employment of foreign workforce.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Philology, Psychology or a related field. Any relevant certifications are a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and sourcing tools, including LinkedIn Recruiter and other recruitment software. Advanced practical knowledge of Excel.
- Regional Expertise: Deep understanding of the labor market and recruitment landscape in Europe.
- Cultural Competence: Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and adapt recruitment strategies to different regional contexts.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple recruitment projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work across different time zones to support global recruitment efforts.
- Follow up: Great follow up skills to make sure all assigned tasks which are interconnected with other stakeholders are accomplished on or before deadline.
- Result oriented: High level of responsibility and orientation towards achieving results. No “polako” attitude. Motivated to be fast and efficient.

- Independent Contractor Agreement in the beginning with possibility to become a permanent employee upon successful completion of 6 months’ probation period.
- Computer, company paid mobile, working space, transportation allowance or paid petrol if you have a car.
- Remuneration is agreed based on the results of the interview.
- Important to note: Company pays high percentage of bonuses after successful completion of each project.
