A private accounting and tax advisor firm with over 30 years history with head office in Zagreb is looking for a highly energetic, hard-working and reliable Accountant to join a dynamic team.
As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in driving the organic growth of the company by providing excellent services to clients of the company. If you are still studying to get the degree in Accounting, Economy or related field, the company will support you. In that case you will be offered a position of Assistant Accountant and will go through and extensive internal training within the company. The company supports hard working and talented individuals who are focused in developing their career as Accountant. Don’t hesitate to apply and come for the interview.
This is a full time office based position with full legal social package. Company also provides transportation allowance and other benefits which will be discussed during the interview.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintaining and updating accounting records via accounting software
- Manage accounting transactions
- Performing Bank, Debtors/Creditors reconciliation
- Preparation of Payroll & Payments to Social Insurances/Tax Departments
- Issuing of invoices to counterparties
- Assisting with TAX / VAT / registration and submission, filing and all related tasks
- Liaising with creditors and debtors
- Liaising with auditors and other advisors
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Graduate of degree in Accounting or other related field. If you are not a graduate and still studying to get your degree, the company will support you. In that case the position will be offered as Assistant Accountant until you get your degree.
- Computer literacy – Microsoft office (excel, word, outlook etc)
- Good understanding and previous experience with Tax and VAT matters, will be considered an advantage.
- Time management skills, ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines.
- Enthusiastic team player who enjoys being part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Strong work ethics, confidentiality, positive attitude and professional approach.
- Excellent command of Croatian language. Good command of English language will be considered an advantage.
