Position: Social Media Manager

A reputable service provider with head office in Zagreb, Croatia is looking for enthusiastic, hard-working and highly creative freelance Social Media Managers fluent in English and Croatian to join a dynamic team.

As a Social Media Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the organic growth of all social media platform which company operates: TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIN.

This is a freelance / part time position. Work timing preferences will be discussed with candidates to find a common ground.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to scale existing channels (Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIN, TikTok, Facebook) while recommending new channels to explore and test.

  • Monitor social media channels for trends, engagement, and mentions, and independently respond when appropriate.

  • Analyze and report on the effectiveness of campaigns in terms of traffic, engagement, and conversion rates.

  • Establish clear goals and benchmarks for our channels and campaigns, using data to iterate on our social strategy.

  • Conceptualize, create, and produce highly shareable, viral content for social media platforms.

  • Stay ahead of trending topics, memes, and cultural moments to create timely and relevant content.

  • Develop innovative content formats that have the potential to go viral, such as challenges, interactive posts, and user-generated content campaigns.

  • Collaborate with internal designers or external talent to produce visually striking and attention-grabbing content.

  • Analyze performance metrics to identify what types of content resonate most with our audience and have the highest potential for virality.

  • Maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent posting and timely sharing of both viral and regular content.

  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions to foster community engagement.

  • Use social media analytics tools to track performance, measure KPIs, and analyze the effectiveness of campaigns.

  • Continuously monitor social media trends, platform updates, and algorithm changes to inform content strategy.

  • Quickly adapt content creation and posting strategies based on emerging trends and platform shifts.

  • Create and manage target ads.

  • Manage relationships with influencers, content creators, or agencies to amplify viral content reach when necessary.

Qualifications, skills and requirements:

  • Fluent speaker of English and Croatian

  • 1-2 years of experience managing accounts on Meta

  • In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms and best practices

  • Ability to meet deadlines and post to social media accounts in real time, with little need for oversight

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

  • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills and very high attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience creating target adsExperience in online campaigns

  • Experience in creation and editing of Reels / Shorts / TikTok videos

  • Experience in negotiations and buying ads from bloggers in various platforms

  • Keen interest in achieving results

  • Multicultural intelligence and ability to reach international audience

  • Advanced proficiency in video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro), graphic design (Adobe Creative Suite), and other content creation tools.
